Charlton Heston has died. From a young age he impressed me with his presence as an actor. I appreciated his politics as well.
Entertainment Weekly has a brief look at some of his notable roles. The man had some good times.

Interesting discussion at work after Heston's passing. When asked which film do you first think of when you think of him, it was interesting how some came up with "Ten Commandments" while others went for "Planet Of The Apes." You would think it would run along generational lines but younger folks were down with Moses while older types could better identify with "the dirty Apes." He certainly was a larger than life individual. I went with Moses...followed by seeing him waving a rifle in the air while in a suit (I cheated, not a movie)...followed by the "Apes."
